Kurdish Textile Museum
Erbil
Inside a restored mansion in the southeast quarter of the Citadel, the Kurdish Textile Museum was founded in 2004 by Lolan Mustefa to safeguard the region's weaving heritage. Its rooms are hung with carpets, kilims, nomadic tents, costumes and naturally dyed wool, and the museum works to keep the centuries-old methods of Kurdish spinning and weaving alive.
