The Ridge-Top Viewpoints
Azmar and its neighbour Goizha are the two tall mountains that rise directly above Sulaymaniyah and dominate the city's skyline. Asphalt roads run along the ridge tops, letting you drive or walk the crest for sweeping panoramic views over the city and the plains beyond.

Sunset on Goizha
Goizha is the hill closest to the city, reached by grassy western slopes, and it is a favourite local gathering place. People come here to picnic and to watch the sun go down, drawn by the fresh air and the open view over Sulaymaniyah.
