A medieval shrine-mosque in Mosul's Old City honouring the prophet Jirjis — widely identified with Saint George — built over the old Quraysh cemetery and renovated by Tamerlane in 1393. Revered by Muslims and Christians alike, it was destroyed by ISIS in 2014 and has since been rebuilt in its original form.
