Mosul Heritage House

942F+QR, Mosul
About

A traditional Mosuli courtyard house near the Tigris, lovingly restored in 2018 by activist Ayoub Thanoon into a grassroots heritage museum. Its carved marble, stucco and shanasheel lattice screens showcase the vanishing domestic architecture of the Old City, and it hosts cultural events reviving the memory of pre-war Mosul.
