Al Ghadeer Park
The Sacred Alawi Holy Shrine has inaugurated Al Ghadeer Garden in celebration of the birth anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib, within the activities of the Blessed Week of the Born of the Kaaba, and as part of a series of service projects the Alawi Holy Shrine is implementing in service of Najaf Al Ashraf and its visitors.
The garden is located on an area of 20 dunams, equivalent to 50,000 square meters, including green spaces of 23,000 square meters containing a collection of plants supported by an organized irrigation network. It is considered a visual landmark reflecting the identity of the city of Najaf Al Ashraf.
The garden contains the Al Ghadeer Al Agharr Monument, recreational areas for children, prayer areas, family recreational zones, and health tracks, in addition to a free charging station for electric vehicles. The garden has been designed to be accessible to people with special needs, by providing dedicated pathways, recreational sites, rest areas, and parking spaces for them, making it overall in service of the people of Najaf Al Ashraf and the visitors arriving to it.
