The Prophet's Mosque is the second-holiest site in Islam after the Masjid al-Haram in Makkah. Founded by Prophet Muhammad in 622 CE, it houses his tomb beneath the Green Dome and the Rawdah, an area described in hadith as 'a garden from the gardens of Paradise.'
