Mount Uhud (Jabal Uhud) is a mountain about 5 km north of Al-Masjid an-Nabawi and the site of the Battle of Uhud in 3 AH (625 CE), the second major battle of early Islam. The Prophet is reported to have said the mountain loves the Muslims and is loved by them.
